I do: A Winter Wonderland Wedding – By Hidden Light Films, Toronto Wedding cinematography
Of course as the weather finally starts getting beautiful in our dear old City of Toronto, we must look back upon those winter months, less we forget how
horrible wonderful winter is here.
Let’s set the scene.
We have the gorgeous Penina. Handsome Aaron. Tons of family, friends, and everyone in between. It was one of those winter days where the snow is just sprinkling, floating dreamily.
We love these Jewish weddings. Can you imagine the anticipation of not seeing each other for a week before your wedding, to be reunited just before your ceremony? Intense doesn’t even begin to describe.
After the groom puts the veil over the bride (signifying that she is the one he is going to marry) the couple then proceed to their chuppah – where the ceremony happens. There is so much symbolism in a Jewish wedding, everything is meaningful, to not only the bride and groom, but to the families and everyone who is there.
PS- check out the mothers in law holding hands in the background. Just goes to show how unified the whole clan is! I’m blown away 😀 (Because we all LOOOVE our in-laws, right?)
Since the bride and groom don’t get to see each other before the wedding, we have a
rushed relaxed photoshoot before the reception. Every wedding has its challenges, whether it’s an outdoor ceremony where we battle the elements, an indoor ceremony where lighting is a challenge, and then there’s the Jewish wedding photoshoot. Imagine having to cram everything into 30 minutes while your guests are waiting. These two did it in style.
A special shout out to our friends over at Katan Studios who photographed the event.
It was a beautiful event, filled with joy, love and laughter. We wish Aaron and Penina the best in their new life together.
And finally, the video:
