Jamie & Neal

August 1, 2015

Once in a while you get to film one of those weddings that just so bloggable you just don’t know how to handle it. (I’m assuming “bloggable” is a word even though my spell check thinks otherwise.)

Jamie and Neal’s wedding was just one of those weddings.

Not only that, but Jamie and Neal are just one of those couples that reminds you what love is. Love for each other, love for family and love for friends.

I remember when we first met them they told us that they wanted this to be a party for their friends where they just happened to get married. They served macaroni and cheese, BBQ and poutine. (I’m hungry just writing that!) They had an intimate affair, inviting their friends, people who genuinely wanted to share in their happiness with them. The affect was astounding; the love pouring from all sides of the room towards this couple, the excitement in the air and just the simple joy that each person held for them.

Everything in the wedding was personal, and had a sense of fun. (You have to have a sense of humour to get a ring like this!)

They chose Cherry Beach for the location of their reveal. It was a beautiful day, made even better by being on the beach and spending time with these two. Photos were taken by the talented Erin Blackwood Photography.

I can spend time talking about the bride’s dress. But why talk about a dress when she’s wearing amazing red cowboy boots?

The ceremony and reception took place at the Berkeley Church. Music by the Universal Boogie Band (plus a few special performances from some of the couples’ best friends.)
